Andy Warhol is one of the most influential artists of the last 50 years. Tate Liverpool's Exhibitions and Displays Curator, Darren Pih, will explore Andy Warhol’s philosophy of ‘Art for Everybody’ and how he used the language of the everyday, such as brand icons and glamour imagery, to democratise art. Using distribution channels such as publishing, film, music and broadcasting, Warhol paved the way for the mass distribution of his art, much in the same way that we broadcast ourselves using digital and social media today.
Advance booking required. Talks last for approximately 45 minutes with a short time for questions.
