Comics Family Fun Afternoon

This October half term, in conjunction with our family-friendly exhibition ‘The Story of British Comics So Far: Cor! By Gum! Zarjaz!’, we will celebrate ‘Comics Week’ at The Lightbox.

Celebrate the end of half term and join us for an afternoon of comic themed family fun. From 2.00pm – 4.00pm our expert face-painters will be on hand to transform children into their favourite superhero and from 1.30pm – 4.00pm drop into our free craft workshop ‘Comic Bubbles’. If you were a character in a comic strip, what would you say? Come and make your own speech or thought bubble and then take a photograph of yourself in our giant comic frame. The afternoon will finish with a children’s superhero fancy dress competition so come along as your favourite caped crusader to be in with the chance to win a prize!

Activities are suitable for children aged 4+, but all ages welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult.  All materials included. Please note that you may have to wait if the Education Studio is full.
