What are the Art History ‘-ism’s’?

During this series of art talks, speakers Melanie Paice and Peter Scott will explore the meaning behind some of the art theory ‘-ism’s’. Melanie is a Surrey based artist, art tutor and lecturer, who enjoys sharing her knowledge of art with others. Peter Scott, also Surrey based, has been a guide and lecturer at Tate Britain and Tate Modern for 15 years and also lectures to a wide range of organisations, including the Dulwich Picture Gallery, Towner Gallery, Art Fund, and National Trust.

Through Picasso’s and Braque’s new way of representing multiple angles and viewpoints of the world around them in sculpture and 2D work, we will discuss what influenced them, and why the movement came to an end, or has it?
