During this workshop you will learn how to do ‘sublimation printing’ using a Heat Press. The Press heats up to 200 degrees and transfers paper dyes onto cloth. In this workshop you will create your own stencils and trap flat objects within the press such as lace and string. You will learn how to create ‘disperse paper dyes’, mixing up your own colours and painting, spraying and dipping your papers into the dye creating unusual images and patterns. Once dry you can transfer this onto cloth and within 20 seconds you will have your print! Please dress for mess and bring some washing up gloves with you. You may wish to bring flat objects from home to trap in the press or your own fabric. Synthetic fabric will be provided as will all other materials required.
Suitable for 16 years and above. Advance booking required. All materials included.
