Pop goes the Easel: Pop Art in Britain and America

Whether you are new to the history of art world or someone who wishes to brush up on their existing knowledge, these talks set in an award winning gallery and museum might be just what you are looking for. Suitable for age 16+. Advance booking required.

This feeling gave a licence to artists to explore popular and colourful imagery from the worlds of cinema, comic books, strip cartoons, news media, consumer goods and advertising. There has been a debate about whether Pop Art began in Britain or the US, perhaps it happened simultaneously!
