Tim Dolby will explore the cleaning, restoration and conservation of the paintings in the Sime collection, and the ethics, problems and pitfalls in restoration. Tim is a trained picture restorer and an expert in the repair and conservation of the painted surface. He studied picture restoration and conservation under the tutelage of John Brangwyn, conservator of paintings at Hampton Court.
Advance booking required. Talks last for approximately 45 minutes with a short time for questions. Doors open 30 minutes before the start of the evening talks. Wine and juice are available to purchase at evening talks.
