Drawing inspiration from the works of Henry Moore and the shapes and forms of the natural world, sculptor Russell Jakubowski will lead you through the process of making a small sculpture measuring about 20cm in height. Unusually, the sculptures will be created in negative space. You will make simple drawings and then work with clay to define the parameters of your sculpture. Plaster will then be poured into the spaces to cast your final piece. Later in the day you will be able to liberate your sculpture, see the positive outcome of your work and take it home with you.
No previous experience is necessary and all tools and materials will be provided, but please wear old clothes as this workshop can be messy.
Suitable for 16 years and above. Advance booking required.
