In this talk Matt Lindsey will introduce the philosophical and technological contexts surrounding the invention of the photographic medium. Matt Lindsey is Course Leader for MFA & BA (Hons) Photography at UCA, Farnham. His most recent essay ‘A Culture of Texts’ is due to be published in Wiley-Blackwell’s ‘A Companion to Photography’ in 2017.
