Young Curators Project

Planes, Trains and Automobiles

This project is for 13 – 19 year olds who are interested in art and how museums and galleries work.

The next Young Curators project will be an exciting opportunity to curate ‘The Ingram Collection: Planes, Trains and Automobiles’ exhibition. You will work with the exhibitions and learning team to choose which of the artworks will be displayed, design the layout and create additional hands-on elements with a transport theme.

The Young Curators will be choosing from works in The Ingram Collection by artists such as Andrew Johnson, Eric Ravilious, JOhn Bratby, Eduardo Paolozzi and John Bellany.

No previous experience required, just an interest in art and in what goes on behind the scenes at The Lightbox.

Dates: Thursdays 26 Feb, 5, 12, 19, 26 March, 16 April, 4.30 – 6.30pm. The last session will be spent installing the exhibition.

£20 for all 6 sessions. Advance booking required.
