Alice Macdonald: Object of Movement

Alice Macdonald has a disability which affects all physical aspects of her life. This informs her work as she explores how movement can be portrayed through art. Two different themes are portrayed: the movement of light and the movement of objects in space.

The exhibition contains 16 darkroom prints. The prints explore the movement of the objects placed on paper and captured whilst moving in a dark room. This was inspired by the artist Madeline Beckett. She takes photographs of objects in water whilst moving in the dark.

10% of all sales will be donated to Cancer Research UK. If you wish to make a purchase of a darkroom print please ask at reception. There is an edition of 20 unframed darkroom prints for each of the 16 works on display. A single unframed darkroom print is available for £40.00.
