School Visits
The Lightbox's award winning education team has developed a range of activity sessions, offering school groups of all ages the opportunity to explore our galleries and take part in hands on creative workshops. Self guided school visits are also welcome.

Advance booking is essential for all school groups, including self-guided tours. Visiting groups who wish to have Lightbox led activity sessions must book at least one month in advance of their visit. In order to ensure an enjoyable visit, there is a maximum class size of 30 children per activity session and up to two sessions can be run simultaneously. Activity sessions can be adapted for different age groups and are suitable for students in Key Stage 1 and above. Please note that if you come to The Lightbox for a self-guided tour without booking, we cannot guarantee that there will be space for your group.
