Main Gallery
Free entry, donations welcome

‘From Mummies to Motorbikes’ will explore the important heritage of The Royal Dramatic College, The Oriental Institute, Martinsyde Ltd and James Walker Ltd.

The Oriental Institute circa 1890 formerly The Royal Dramatic College

From 1865 – 1996 the four organisations were all based on the present day site of The Lion Retail Park on Oriental Road, Woking. They all influenced and altered the history of Woking in different ways. From Royal connections, to world cultures and technological advances, the exhibition will give visitors a fascinating insight into the ways in which one building played an important part in Woking life.
