Radiance Topos

In September 2005, The Lightbox worked together with Woking Dance Festival and internationally acclaimed choreographer Carol Brown on a site specific dance performance, which marked the start of construction of the new building.

Topos, a contemporary dance performance choreographed by Brown, was performed to an audience of over 100 people against a backdrop of construction machinery. It also incorporated state-of-the-art body lights that were designed especially for the performance by Ulli Oberlack. The piece was performed by children from the New Monument School in Maybury, the DeVyne Dancers from The Vyne Community Centre in Knaphill and dancers from Brown's dance company. Musicians from the Lockwood Day Centre performed live music under the direction of Russell Scoones.

The award-winning Radiance project, a two-year joint collaboration between Woking Dance Festival and The Lightbox recently culminated with the on site performance of Glow. For further information about Glow and this exciting project please click on the link below.
