May Half Term: Nature Week


This May half term we're celebrating the wonders of the natural world in our Nature Week themed workshops for children and families. Here's what's coming up:

Bookable Workshops

Advance booking required. All materials included, but please bring something to take your project home in. Children under 8 years must be accompanied by an adult. Please be prepared to help your child if necessary!

Pebble Art
Design and arrange your own pebble art picture that combines stones, wood and various other natural and man-made materials.

Tues 30 May 2017 | 1.30pm – 3.00pm (4 – 8 year olds)
£8 per child | BOOK HERE

Paper Bird Sculptures
Using patterned paper and 3D collaging techniques, you will be able to assemble a bird sculpture worthy of its own branch.

Thurs 1 June 2017 | £8 per child or young person
BOOK HERE for 1.00pm – 2.30pm (8 – 11 year olds)
BOOK HERE for 3.00pm – 4.30pm (12 – 16 year olds)

Drop-in Family Workshops

Activities are suitable for children aged 4+, but all ages welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult. All materials included. Please note that you may have to wait if the Education Studio is full.

Spring Flowers
Put a spring in your step and make your own bright flowers using patterned and plain paper from our selection.

Nature Week Family Fun Afternoon

Celebrate the end of May half term with us at this specially-themed free Nature Week Family Fun Afternoon. From 1.30pm – 4.00pm there will be a free drop-in workshop making ‘Baby Owls’ at which families will use corks and other recycled materials to create their own cute creature to take home.

From 2.00pm – 4.00pm our expert face painters will be on hand to transform little faces into their favourite animal such as a spotty dog, a friendly feline or a sparkly butterfly.
