The Society of Designer Craftsmen

The Society of Designer Craftsmen (SDC) was originally the Arts and Crafts Exhibition Society.  Founded in 1887, and with distinguished members such as Walter Crane, William Morris and William de Morgan, it became the largest multi-craft society in the U.K.

The North Surrey group was formed in 1993 with the aim of holding regular, local exhibitions.  The members, working within their different disciplines- ceramics, glass, jewellery and textiles - showcase new work and present exhibitions that appeal to all.
