Following on from the success of the Steve Bell Cartoons exhibition in 2008, The Lightbox is proud to present an exhibition featuring the cartoons of Nick Garland. In 1966 Nick Garland became the Daily Telegraph’s first political cartoonist and since then, has also contributed cartoons and covers to the New Statesman, the Spectator, and the Independent. Garland was awarded the Order of the British Empire in 1998 and has collaborated on the comic strip ‘Barry Mackenzie’ with Barry Humphries for Private Eye. His books include Travels with My Sketchbook, An Indian Journal, Not Many Dead, and I Wish.
