Whilst we're closed and working remotely, we’re all doing our best to stay positive and do what we can from home.

Every week, we're setting challenges for our Lightbox team to complete in a bid to bring us together whilst working apart and most importantly, to stay creative.

Last week, we challenged ourselves to see who could create the tallest sculpture. How tall do you think the winner managed to get to?

The sky was sadly not the limit for Alex, whose precariously balanced items were restricted by, you know, the ceiling.

Approx. 1.5m

A valiant effort from Vicky, who constructed her sculpture out of DVDs. How many of those have you got through during closure, Vicky?

Approx. 2 metres

Evidently ecstatic that her sculpture stood all on its own (they grow up so fast!) Sarah - proving PJs can be worn at all hours of the day during lockdown - used K'Nex to create her tower.

Approx. 2.5 metres

Certainly no taller, but bonus points for creativity, is this heron made by Emily, from an old bike! Whilst ever-committed to these challenges, Emily did not make this especially for us. Outside The Lightbox, Emily is a professional sculptor. You can browse and purchase her sculptures on her Etsy Shop.

Approx. 1 metre

Up, up, again to pots and plants galore! Susanne almost takes the biscuit with this green thumbed masterpiece!

Approx 3m

With a little throwback surprise at the end, Mary created this whopping daisy chain as part of some therapeutic zen time in the garden.

Approx. 5 metres

And we have a winner! Mary cunningly used gravity to her advantage, by hanging her daisy chain from the communal stairwell of her home so it stood vertically and didn't have to be held up. Great job, Mary!
