The Lightbox is delighted to invite you to join us for a live virtual studio walkabout, followed by an informal Q&A with Sculptor Sean Henry.

Following his successful exhibition at The Lightbox in 2017, the Woking born sculptor will join us (via Zoom) to share some of the current artwork in-progress at his studio in Hampshire. Sean will discuss some of the methods, inspiration and ideas behind the creation of his sculptures, and will include works in the studio as well as those ones in - and heading to - Woking.

You are likely to be familiar with Henry’s series of figures located in the town centre, such as ‘Standing Man’ in Jubilee Square and the ‘Seated Man’ on Platform 1 of Woking train station. If you managed to visit us this summer you will have been met by our newest addition 'Sleeping Man' a larger-than-life painted sculpture of an anonymous man sleeping in a double bed, located outside the main entrance of the building.  As part of the ongoing Victoria Square development, a further three sculptures are due to be added to the Woking series later this year.

You will be invited to pose questions directly to Sean after his studio tour, about his working methods, inspiration, training and plans for the future.

This talk is exclusively FREE for Lightbox Exhibition Circle, Supporters, Anniversary Angels and Members.
