Tezhip (ornamenting with gold) is a traditional Turkish art form originally used for decorating precious books and manuscripts. This course will include an overview of the history and origins of the art form, and attendees will learn how to design and paint an illuminated shamsa composition, which means "sun burst", using real 22 carat gold. All levels of ability and experience are welcome.
