Join us for lively literary conversation in our Book Group. No need to pre-book, just come along to join in the discussion in the Hurst Room, on either the second or last Thursday of the month.

Please note: the new additional Thursday afternoon session is to accommodate for growing group numbers, so Book Group members are advised to attend one of the two sessions, rather than both.

The Remains of the Day by Kazuo Ishiguro
As Stevens leaves on a short holiday into the English countryside, he begins a journal in which he recalls his life as butler to Lord Darlington. Suspecting that the marriage to Miss Kenton, previously the housekeeper at Darlington Hall, has begun to show cracks, he intends to visit her and ask if she would consider returning to work there. Was the true reason for Miss Kenton’s departure 20 years previously triggered by Stevens’ inability to declare his love for her?
