Join us for a discussion around Caroline Walker’s artistic processes as a painter and her intuitive understanding of her subjects. Caroline Walker’s paintings portray women’s lives, suggesting all kinds of stories that are never fully revealed to the viewer. Fascinated by the way in which the female realm has been depicted by male artists, she aims to re-present this from a female perspective. Caroline Walker‌ (born‌ ‌1982, ‌Dunfermline) ‌‌lives‌ ‌and‌ ‌works‌ ‌in‌ ‌London and ‌studied‌ ‌at‌ ‌The Glasgow‌ School‌ ‌of‌ ‌Art‌ ‌and‌ ‌the‌ ‌Royal‌ ‌College‌ ‌of‌ ‌Art, ‌ ‌London.‌ Jo Baring is Director of The Ingram Collection and is a writer, broadcaster, and speaker. Baring writes and hosts the podcast series ‘Sculpting Lives’ and in 2016 launched The Ingram Prize which is now a leading prize for contemporary artists.
