Art Talks March 2024 Informal talks to encourage discussion and debate that discuss a mixture of themes in art and the artists themselves. Melanie is and artist, art tutor and Lecturer and Laurence is a guide and lecturer, they both a wealth of knowledge and experience between them to share with you. Social Realism Social realism is an art movement that became prominent between the two world wars in response to the social and political turmoil and hardships of the period, but has its roots much earlier than this. These talks from Melanie Paice and Laurence Shafe will discuss artists and artworks from current artists, back in time through to the 18th Century.
