February Half Term

There are fun creative activities coming up for children of all ages this February Half Term at The Lightbox! Taking place Tues 19 - Fri 22 February, we've got free drop-in craft activities and bookable workshops inspired by our Main and Upper Gallery exhibitions.

Cardboard Cameras

The week kicks into action in this workshop for 5 - 8 year olds. Become mini photographers and make your own cardboard cameras to showcase your drawing designs on a reel.

Colour Spinners

Create your very own colour spinners to make colours clash and collide. What patterns will your spinner make? This workshop is suitable for children aged 4+.

Wed 20 February 2019, drop-in from 1.30pm - 4.00pm
Free entry, donations welcome

Painting Light and Shadow

Delve into learning about colours and tones in this workshop for 8 - 12 year olds. You will take inspiration from the Upper Gallery exhibition, Cyril Mann: Painter of Light and Shadow, learning how to use acrylic paints to create masterpieces fir for the gallery walls.

Lollipop Frames

The week draws to a close with a free drop-in session, adding colour, lines and patterns to create simple and fun picture frames for your favourite photos. Suitable for children aged 4+.
