The Lightbox, an award-winning regional gallery in Woking, Surrey has an exciting paid internship opportunity for a motivated individual who has a desire to forge a career in fundraising. The Development Intern will work directly with the Development Manager to help deliver The Lightbox fundraising programme and initiatives.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

Title: Development Intern (fixed term, 12 months contract)
Based at: The Lightbox, Woking, Surrey
Reports to: Development Manager
Salary: £8.50 per hour
Hours: 22.5 hours a week

ROLE OVERVIEW

The role will include learning how to deliver support and administrative duties such as:

  • Individual donors research and administration (thank you letters)
  • Major donors research and administration (prospecting research and invitation management)
  • Corporate Partners & Membership support (thank you letters, invitations, meeting support)
  • Fundraising event delivery (operational event delivery support for Private Views, fundraising dinners and talks as well as invitation and guest list management)

There will be opportunities to liaise with other departments and volunteers internally including Learning, Exhibitions and Marketing who work together to deliver fundraising projects.

There may also be some work outside of regular hours in order to support occasional evening events. Any additional hours can be taken back as time off in lieu.
