Job Title: Visitor Experience Assistant
Reports to: Operations Director, Retail Manager, and Visitor Experience Manager
Hours: Part-time (14 hours per week). Saturday 9.30am – 5.30pm and Sunday: 9.30am – 4.30pm. There will be occasional opportunities for overtime.
Salary: £9.50 per hour


The Visitor Experience Team is looking for a pro-active individual who has a passion for retail and customer service to join their small but busy team.

The Lightbox is an award-winning gallery and museum which welcomes around 100,000 visitors per year. The Visitor Experience Assistant role is an exciting opportunity to work manning the Reception area, providing assistance with the art and design-focused Shop, and providing support with Duty Supervising the building.

The right candidate will have experience of working in a customer-facing role, ideally with retail experience, and must have excellent communication skills. 

The person will be responsible for processing till transactions and event bookings through The Lightbox Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, so basic experience of database and till systems would also be an advantage although training for this will be provided. The role is subject to a probationary period of three months.
