Job Title: Visitor Experience Assistant
Based at: The Lightbox, Chobham Road, Woking, GU21 4AA
Reports to: Operations Manager
Hours: 4 shifts per week, minimum 29 hours. Wed, Thurs, Fri: 9.30am - 5.30pm. Sun: 9.30am - 4.30pm. Occasional late Thursday night on a rotary basis: 2.30pm - 10.30pm. Flexibility to cover holiday and events.
Salary: £8.50ph

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for a proactive individual who has a passion for retail and customer service to join our small, but busy team on a part-time basis.

The Lightbox is an award-winning gallery and museum which welcomes around 100,000 visitors per year. The Visitor Experience Assistant role is an exciting opportunity to work manning the Reception area, providing assistance with the art and design focused Shop and providing support with Duty Supervising the building.

The right candidate will have experience of working in a customer facing role, ideally with retail experience, and must have excellent communication skills. The person will be responsible for processing till transactions and event bookings through The Lightbox Customer Relationship Management system so basic experience of database and till systems would also be an advantage although training for this will be provided.

The role is subject to a probationary period of three months.
