We are thrilled to announce that The Lightbox is now open to the public once again. Thanks to your help, over the past months, we've been able to raise more than half of our fundraising goal.

This is hugely appreciated but we still need more funds to ensure that our community programmes, for those that would not ordinarily be able to access arts and heritage services, can restart with us as strong as ever.

We are committed to improving the wellbeing and quality of life of our community and we have continued to do so throughout our closure. Like many galleries and museums, our charity has been very financially hard-hit by the current crisis. If you are able to offer further support please consider pre-paying your membership or making a donation.

Social distancing measures will be in place throughout the building. To ensure the safety of all visitors, staff and volunteers, we have installed Perspex screens at Reception and in the Café, provided masks and visors to staff and volunteers and signage will indicate flow routes in some areas of the building. Additional cleaning provisions have also been put in place as well as extra cleaning staff.

Our safety measures follow the recommended guidelines and we have been awarded the ‘Good To Go’ Visit England seal of approval for reopening.

We will be limiting numbers in our galleries to ensure your safety. For Main and Upper Gallery exhibitions we advise that all visitors, including Members, should pre-book to secure their space. Slots will be released a week in advance every Monday morning.

Due to the high number of interactive elements in Woking's Story it is not currently safe to open this space under current guidelines. This will be reviewed regularly. We apologise for any disappointment.

We look forward to welcoming you back.
