Art made by women has been and continues to be under-represented in collections and exhibitions. Championing the work of female artists in The Ingram Collection, this exhibition will place contemporary artists like Chloe Wing and Lucy Gregory alongside key figures in the history of Modern British Art such as Barbara Hepworth and Elisabeth Frink, renowned sculptors in a profession not typically viewed as suitable for women artists.

The exhibition will also feature material from the new, free to download (via iTunes) 6-part podcast series 'Sculpting Lives: Women & Sculpture' written and presented by Jo Baring (Director of The Ingram Collection) and Sarah Turner (Deputy Director for Research at the Paul Mellon Centre for Studies in British Art), launched earlier this year.
