The Lightbox is a long term home to The Ingram Collection and hosts changing exhibitions of internationally significant work, which in the past have included works by the Impressionists and Pop Artists. Students will take part in gallery activities focusing on 2D or 3D artworks from current exhibitions evaluating and analyzing creative works. They will then take part in a bespoke creative workshop that develops their artistic skills.

Previous sessions have included:

  • Damien Hirst: New Religion, with printmaking
  • Picasso: Paper and Clay, with ceramics
  • Impressionism: The Art of Life, with experimental drawing

Group size: up to 30 children per session, and up to two sessions can be run simultaneously (60 students).

Advanced booking is essential for all school groups, including self-guided tours. Visiting groups who wish to have facilitated activity sessions must book at least two months in advance of their visit. In order to ensure an enjoyable visit, there is a maximum class size of 30 children per activity session and up to two sessions can be run simultaneously.
