We think our new Annual Pass is the perfect stocking-filler for anyone who loves art. For only £5, the holder will have entry to all of our Main and Upper Gallery exhibitions for an entire year (under 18s remain free). They will be able to see a variety of high quality exhibitions, including ‘The Horse at War: 1914-1918’ which features ‘Joey’ from the National Theatre’s acclaimed stage production of ‘War Horse’, on loan from the Victoria and Albert Museum, as well as many fine art pieces on loan from the Imperial War Museum, Tate, The Munnings Museum and private collectors.  Future exhibitions will include ‘Damien Hirst: New Religion’ and ‘Turner in Surrey’.

For those who would like to support The Lightbox and be involved with a group of like-minded art lovers, the gift of a Friends membership would be perfect. An individual membership costs £30, or you might like to give joint membership worth £50 to an art-loving couple. Included in the benefits are invitations to exclusive events and outings, a quarterly newsletter, discounted entry to talks and 20% off selected items in the Gift Shop and Café.

For a unique gift, why not consider ‘Names in Glass’? You can have a name permanently inscribed in the glass inside our award-winning gallery and museum and the donation goes toward supporting our packed programme of events and exhibitions.

Staying on the donation theme, if you wanted to do something different to the usual Christmas cards, why not donate what you would normally spend to our Arts and Craft 4 Wellbeing appeal? You can find out more about the workshops with Woking & Sam Beare Hospices here.

Also, don’t forget, our Gift Shop is packed with beautiful, handcrafted gifts that you won’t find on the high street. Some jewellery from Caroline Thomson always goes down well (it is on all of our Christmas wish lists in the office!) or these striking papercuts from Caroline Rees make a great addition to any home. Even better, on Saturday 20 December, you can enjoy late night shopping with free mince pies, mulled wine, meet the artists and music from local band Sour Kix! Find out more here.

Don't forget to check our Christmas opening hours: We will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day. On 24 and 31 December we will be closing at 4pm. Please also note that on 24, 30 and 31 December the Café will be offering a limited coffee and cake menu.
