Title: Exhibitions Intern
Reporting to: Curator
Period of Internship: 3 months, with possibility of extension by mutual agreement
Time Commitment: Minimum of two days (15 hours) per week. Some evening and weekend hours may be required.
Expenses: Travel expenses will be reimbursed

This is an opportunity for someone seeking practical experience in the arts and heritage sector. You will gain experience of how to research and develop an exhibition proposal as well as assisting with elements of the planning and delivery of exhibitions and displays as part of the current programme. You will have the opportunity to learn about the general administration undertaken by the Exhibitions department and contribute to the development of an exhibition in its concept and layout. You will assist the Exhibitions and Collections Officer with a range of collection management duties both on and off-site.

Based between our busy office, on-site research room and off-site warehouse you will provide support to the Exhibition department and will be involved in the day-to-day running of our popular museum and gallery. You will work closely with both staff and volunteers.
