The Lightbox is a fun and lively venue which has has three regularly changing galleries, an interactive museum about Woking’s Story, The Lightbox Café which serves delicious snacks and lunches and a unique Gift Shop perfect for present-buying.

Admission

Admission to Woking’s Story and all our exhibitions is FREE. There is a small charge for talks and learning events. Find out What’s On.


How to Find Us

Woking train station is a five minute walk from The Lightbox and just 30 minutes by train from London Waterloo. The Lightbox is 15 minutes from the M25, exit at Junction 11. From the A3 southbound, exit at Chobham/Painshill, signposted A245. Cycle stands are available at The Lightbox.

'Brewery Road' is the closest pay and display car park, located underneath WWF Headquarters on Brewery Road. A pedestrian footbridge over the canal leads from the car park to The Lightbox. Also close by is 'Victoria Way' car park, located opposite The Lightbox.

Accessibility

The Lightbox is fully accessible to all visitors. The courtyard and entrances have level access; there are fully accessible toilets on each floor and a there is a lift that goes to all floors of the building.

The Lightbox has three disabled parking bays which can be booked in advance, Induction Loops, magnifying glasses and two wheelchairs available on request. Registered assistance dogs are welcome.
