After the Italian invasian of Ethiopia, Emporer Haile Selassie was sympathetically received in the UK, living mostly in Bath. On 25 August 1936, he visited the Shah Jahan Mosque in Woking, an event that was reported on in The Times. 

Our Object in Focus shows an invitation attend the event and to meet Selassie on his visit. This invitation was extended to local businessman Frederick Iverson, owner of the Central Halls Cinema.
