So many of our members and visitors share our passion for all things Lightbox and its contribution to art and heritage within our community.

As a result of closing to the public for an extended period of time, The Lightbox – like so many other charities and small businesses – is in a difficult financial position. Consequently, we have introduced the opportunity for new and current members to pay for their next three years of Lightbox Membership upfront. This will provide essential financial security for The Lightbox when we do reopen in due course. If you are in a position to help, it would be hugely appreciated.

You can also support Seasons Café in this difficult time by donating the cost of a cup of coffee.

Alternatively, you can make a one-off donation to The Lightbox, here.

Whilst we are closed, we're remaining active online, highlighting the benefits that art can have on wellbeing.

We'll be sharing:

  • Step-by-step guides for fun family crafts using bits and pieces from around the house
  • Ways to stay creative for young people and adults
  • Stories from some of those we have helped in our Art and Wellbeing programme
  • Throwbacks to past exhibitions and more information on particular artworks from our collections
  • Updates from The Lightbox Director on the current situation and what it means for our gallery and museum
  • And more!

Stay safe, stay well and stay creative.
