Volunteer
Front of House Volunteer
Become a Front-of-House volunteer at Lightbox Gallery and be part of the warm welcome that sets the tone for every visitor’s experience. With just a friendly, positive attitude and a love of working with people, you’ll act as a key ambassador for the Gallery, meeting visitors first-hand, hearing what they enjoy, and helping to make each visit memorable.
Heritage Volunteer

Join the Unlocking Woking’s Heritage Collection Volunteer team to help us look after the collection for future generations.
Woking's Heritage Collection began in 1993, when several separate collections were brought together for the first time. Since 2007, it has been cared for by The Lightbox Gallery and Museum. What makes it special isn't just that it holds stories of both local and national importance, but that it has been shaped by the Woking community itself.
Some of this special collection is on display in the Woking Story Gallery, but most of it remains in storage, out of sight and hard to access. This project aims to change that, bringing in diverse perspectives to record, research, and share the histories of Woking's communities, past and present.
Learning Volunteer
Adult and Young Volunteer opportunities available
This is a rewarding volunteering opportunity for anyone who enjoys working with schools, children and families in a creative environment. You’ll be part of a friendly team at Lightbox Gallery, gaining hands-on experience supporting school workshops and children/family learning activities, full training is provided, so all you need is enthusiasm, confidence, and a willingness to get involved.
