The Lightbox is home to The Ingram Collection of Modern British Art and hosts changing exhibitions of internationally significant work. Please contact the Learning department for more details of works currently on show. Students will take part in gallery activities focusing on 2D or 3D artworks from current exhibitions and take part in a bespoke creative workshop that develops their skills.

  • Damien Hirst: New Religion, with printmaking
  • Picasso: Paper and Clay, with ceramics
  • Impressionism: The Art of Life, with experimental drawing

Group size: up to 60 children max per visit
Session duration: 2 hours

Advanced booking is essential for all school groups, including self-guided tours. Visiting groups who wish to have Lightbox led activity sessions must book at least two months in advance of their visit. In order to ensure an enjoyable visit, there is a maximum class size of 30 children per activity session and up to two sessions can be run simultaneously.
