Tom Sliwinski, a learning-disabled young artist presents a unique collection of drawings, etchings and paintings in ‘Tom’s Art World’.  Sliwinski has attended art sessions at the Grange Centre in Bookham, and at Artventure Trust in Guildford for almost 10 years, developing his talent in drawing and painting. His favourite drawing tool is the pencil but he enjoys experimenting with different art forms and scaling his work up. Last year as the commissioned artist of DAiSY (Disability Arts in Surrey) Sliwinski worked with artist Julie Hoyle on creating a collection that was inspired by West Horsley Place, a Grade I listed medieval manor house in Surrey. Sliwinski’s work reflects his interest in history, politics, storytelling and possible or imagined paranormal activities. His work demonstrates his keen sense of humour and allows others to see from a learning-disabled perspective.
