This year we will be starting our first Youth Collective and we need you if you are aged between 16-24 to join us.

The Youth Collective will aim to spark conversations and influence change at The Lightbox through working with artists, developing events, workshops and creative online content. You should be happy working as part of a team and keen to make museums more relevant to other young people. You don't even need to have visited The Lightbox or any other gallery or museum before to join.

Our first job will be to change the name to something which you feel is more reflective of the group you want to be a part of.

We will meet monthly and you will have the chance to meet our staff and learn about how The Lightbox works. There will also be optional opportunities to connect with wider The Lightbox activities including assisting to invigilate our exhibitions.

What's in it for me?

  • Access behind the scenes at The Lightbox
  • Training – this may include specific training for events.
  • Support from experienced staff around the Gallery and Museum
  • Travel to The Lightbox for meetings reimbursed (you'll just need to give us the receipts).
  • Snacks and drinks when attending meetings at The Lightbox
  • Free entry to The Lightbox exhibitions
  • Signposting to other events and opportunities for young people.

Please fill in the form to apply to be part of the Youth Collective.
