Simon Pratt: Abstracts 5 – 17 September 2023

Since 1993, Simon Pratt has painted an eclectic mix of nudes, abstracts, landscapes, portraits, and imaginative pieces. For the last five years, his work has oscillated between the nude and abstracts. Both genres feed off each other, with the distinction between each subject becoming blurred. Drawing inspiration from artists such as Lucien Freud, Paula Rego, and the Fauve artists, Pratt’s use of colour and subject matter articulate an intense interest in form and shape.
